LED lighting can be formed by 4 types of LED Diodes:
1. LED DIP |
This LED has a low efficiency of 40lm/ W (usually has a power of 100mW and produces 4 lumens). When talking of an LED diode, most people tend to think of this as it is the classic LED. |
|
2. LED SMD |
This LED is the most used in high-efficiency LED lighting, as it currently produces between 100 and 200 lumens per watt. Another important advantage is the possibility of implementing 3 diodes on the same chip as with the combination of the 3 primary colors (red, green and blue) you can get white light. These LEDs are smaller than the previous LEDs, but they are more efficient. |
|
3. LED COB |
This type of LED is designed to work for a short time, as they have a lower heat dissipation than SMD LEDs, which affects their lifetime. They are able to produce a large amount of lumens with a very small amount of energy. Some of the uses for which these LED’s are intended mobile or flash cameras. |
|
4. MicroLED |
Today it has been possible to create a pixel with a set of microscopic LEDs. Thanks to the production of this new technology, new flat-screen TVs are being created that are more energy efficient, with lower latency and greater colour contrast. |

LED LIGHTING: AREAS OF APPLICATION
This type of LED lighting is aimed at the industrial sector, either for outdoor lighting with spotlights or LED floodlight, o for indoor lighting with circular hoods for open-plan areas with open optics and linear hoods with asymmetrical optics for aisle or logistics areas.
This LED lighting is aimed at lighting roads and urban areas, such as streets, parks, roads, squares, gardens and countless places. For areas without an electrical network, in Venalsol Smart Light we have LED street luminaires for connection to the electricity grid or with integrated solar panel.
LED lighting aimed at the field of cultivation in which it covers 2 sectors: 1-Agro-food sector: fruits, vegetables, algae, etc. 2-Medical sector: LED cannabis cultivation. In Venalsol Smart light we are specialists in cannabis cultivation lighting thanks to the knowledge acquired during our LED research I + D + I cultivation.
LED lighting for the food sector must meet a number of requirements such as: NSF certification, easy cleaning, hiding screws to prevent loosening on food or being able to withstand moisture and demanding temperatures.
This type of LED lights are aimed at the tertiary sector such as offices, commercial premises or homes which usually have a reduced height with respect to industrial installations.
APERTURE ANGLE (OPTICAL)
Another important factor to consider when lighting with LEDs is the aperture of the optics, since an open optic will have a large area of coverage, while with a closed optic, we focus the light on one point, but we will get the level higher at that point. There are symmetric optics that d istribute the light equally in all directions and asymmetric optics, which can open more along than wide and vice versa. Some examples can be seen below:

YOUR LIGHT STUDIO WITH OUR LED LIGHTING
As mentioned above, in order to achieve correct lighting, both the power and the chosen optics of the luminaire to be installed must be taken into account, that’s why from Venalsol Smart Light we perform free light studies to our customers through a program that simulates the stay in 3D, this way we can advise our customers with values and visual way, on which is the best choice to achieve the greatest light comfort and the least waste of light energy, which is translated into economic comfort.
